Popakademie graduate with King & Prince at number 1 in Japan

Last week the Japanese band "King & Prince" entered the Japanese charts with their second album "L&" (Johnny's Universe) right after its release at number 1. The album also reached double platinum status. Popakademie graduate Jonas Mengler, who produced and co-wrote the song "Break Away", is pleased about the success of the band, which belongs to the J-Pop genre popular in Japan.Jonas Mengler studied both the bachelor's degree program in Pop Music Design and the master's degree program in Popular Music, both with a focus on producing, at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg. Since completing his studies, he has worked as a songwriter and producer for the music publisher MUSSASHI, which specializes in K-Pop and J-Pop. With artists such as Nissy, Kis-My-Ft2 or Tomohisha Yamashita, the native of Aachen has already achieved numerous top positions in the international charts as well as multiple gold and platinum awards. Jonas Mengler also works with and for German artists such as Vanessa Mai, Adel Tawil, OK KID or Die Lochis. As a lecturer at the Popakademie he passes on his knowledge to the new generation of Pop Academy students.
