International Summer Camp
Every summer, the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg holds an International Summer Camp for around 60 musicians. This hands-on week offers students from the Popakademie and partner universities (e.g. from Sweden, the U.S., Ireland, Scotland or the Netherlands) a band workshop with an international network led by our highly qualified instructors. Applications are open to (semi-)professional songwriters, producers, guitarists, bassists, keyboardists and drummers.
We have decided to cancel the International Summer Camp 2022 due to the current COVID situation and the uncertainties that go along with it. Unfortunately, it is still difficult for us to plan a camp in an international context. Next summer, our International Summer Camp will take place at Popakademie as usual. Online applications will be possible via the website from March 2023. Thank you for understanding, and we wish you a wonderful summer!
In addition to the daily intensive rehearsals, participants will be coached in private and group lessons for singing, songwriting, guitar, bass, keyboard and drums. The focus is on professional band rehearsals, musical teamwork and implementing creative ideas. As an international event with a team of successful industry players as coaches, the summer camp offers excellent networking opportunities that benefits our participants especially in a European context.
