The Popakademie Baden-Württemberg is an higher education institution and competence centre for the music and creative industries and their pop cultural scenes. By focusing its study programmes on popular music, it offers an academic education that is unique in Germany's public university landscape. Numerous successful careers of musicians and creatives have been founded here.

Parallel to its function as a teaching institution, the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg, as a competence centre, realises numerous projects in a regional, national and international context.

Meet the Mannheimers
The Popakademie Baden-Württemberg, I'M SOUND and the Music Commission Mannheim will present themselves again at this year's Reeperbahn Festival!

The reception starts at 7 p.m. At the following showcase at 9 p.m. Ok.Danke.Tschüss, Cinemagraph and Kirchner Hochtief will be on stage.

Sunday Beats with Mark Moody
In the afternoon of 22 September, Popakademie artist Mark Moody will be on stage for the Sunday Beats, which take place from May to September in the bandshell in Herzogenriedpark.

At home on stage, Mark Moody gives free rein to his boundless inspiration, especially with his classical and techno improvisations. His heart beats mainly for film music and contemporary piano music, but he is also inspired by pop and techno.

Admission to the concert is free, only the park entrance fee of 3,50€ for adults is due. Children, students etc. receive a reduction.
