Darcy Proper


Mastering

Darcy began her career in the Classical Department of Sony Music Studios in New York City. Afterwards, she was mainly engaged in mastering historical recordings from a wide variety of genres. She worked for several years as Senior Mastering Engineer at Galaxy Studios in Belgium before joining Wisseloord Studios in Holland and becoming Director of Mastering.

Over the years Darcy Proper has won 3 Grammys, 8 nominations and many other awards. Darcy has proven her skills in remastering historical material in projects for artists such as Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Johnny Cash. She has also been involved in many releases for renowned artists and bands such as Steely Dan, The Eagles, R.E.M., Donald Fagen, Porcupine Tree, Peter Maffay, Patricia Barber, Manowar and Marcus Miller.
