Bandpool-Bands live in your own living room

07. April 2020

Enjoy concerts from the couch. This is made possible not only by many great musicians, but also by our young talent promotion program Bandpool. In the coming days, three acts can be streamed directly into your living room via the online platform dringeblieben.de.

On Tuesday, April 7th Haller will start at 8 pm with the first Bandpool concert of the week. With his music, a mixture of rythm'n'blues drums, funk basses and minimalist guitars, the Berlin-based artist plays with language, the things of everyday life, seeking the clear and true. He was part of the 16th generation of the Bandpool and released his first album "Kuss" at the end of 2019.

On Thursday, April 9, rapper and violist Yunus, who is part of the 20th generation of the Bandpool, will follow. With his Turkish name, hip-hop with German lyrics and his viola, Yunus is difficult to classify and he skilfully explores boundaries with his music. Only recently his first EP "Es ist nicht das, wonach es aussieht, Mutter" was released.

On Friday, April 10th, Gardens of Capri will round off the Bandpool week. At 7 pm, Californian Amy Elizabeth Jarett and Stuttgart-based Julian Scharpf, who was the lead singer of the former Bandpool band The Astronaut's Eye, will use their contrasting voices to talk about the tension between bored extravagance and the thrill of being different. In the process Westcoast sound meets pop songwriting.

For more than 20 years, the Bandpool promotion programme has been accompanying bands and solo acts with ambitions on their individual path to a successful professional career. For 18 months, the artists are coached by experienced lecturers from the Popakademie, e.g. in marketing, stage presence or songwriting.

The three concerts of the Bandpool Bands & Friends are part of a series of free concerts that take place on dringeblieben.de. To support the musicians, a small amount can be donated in each case. All upcoming dates will be announced on the Facebook page and the Instagram channel of the Bandpool.
