The Sonic Visions conference festival on the European music and creative industries, which took place in Luxembourg from 14-16 November, showed that the industry is increasingly relying on experts from the Popakademie alumni. For example, the panel on "Technology & Innovation X Business & Management" included two graduates from the music and creative industries: Colin Lovrinovic, founder and managing director of Gould Finch GmbH, spoke about the influence of artificial intelligence on the creative industries, while Dr. Johannes Ripken, founder and managing director of tamanguu GmbH & Co. KG, explained the importance of identity-oriented networking. Both graduates not only successfully manage their companies, but are also regular speakers at national and international conferences. For example, both were present at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg and c/o pop in Cologne. Lovrinovic also gave lectures at the Readmagine Conference in Madrid and the Storydrive Conference in Beijing.
The perception of the Popakademie alumni as experts on topics of the music and creative industries proves the high quality, innovative strength and practical relevance of the business education at the Mannheim university institution. The Popakademie itself also relies on more and more alumni as teaching staff within the framework of its range of courses
