Future Music Camp Hybrid - Future Music Camp 2022: Schedule and Keynotes

12. May 2022

The schedule of the Future Music Camp on May 19th and 20th, 2022 of the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg is fixed. The Future Music Camp will take place hybrid. Places on site are limited, all content is digitally accessible at the same time. The hybrid extension 2022 is funded by the Initiative Musik.

The Future Music Camp deals with selected future topics of the digital music industry. On May 19th and 20th, the camp will open at 10 a.m. with musical contributions from Popakademie acts NIKRA and EYPA. This year's Future Music Camp offers networking opportunities both online and offline, through a virtual venue, as well as get-togethers and an on-site after-show party.

Due to the hybrid format, this time speakers from the USA can also join in: Lee Martin (app developer for David Bowie, Foo Fighters, Greta Van Fleet, among others) on Experimental Marketing in Music. Also joining will be Kaitlyn Davies (Membership Lead, Friends With Benefits DAO) with her keynote "Decentralised organisation and DAOs as community-owned music infrastructure". The program will be completed by Susanne Flug (Co-Founder/CEO, Takkt, DE), she will address the billing systems of the international recording industry.

In addition, there will again be an extensive session program: topics include music and mental health, live culture, metaverse, digital collaborations or sustainability in the music industry.

The Future Music Camp started in 2009, at that time as a bar camp for the music industry, and has established itself as a modern conference format for executives and young professionals from the music and creative industries. With the Future Music Camp, the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg networks experts from the field with students from relevant disciplines such as music, media, culture and creative industries. David Stammer, Project Manager Digital Innovation, is responsible for the Future Music Camp and also moderates it.

This year, the Future Music Camp will take place hybrid with an audience on site, and the keynotes will be streamed in parallel via the YouTube channel of the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg. The session program will also be hybrid accessible.

Registration for on-site and digital participation, as well as all program details.

This project is supported by the Initiative Musik with funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
