Popular Music Degree Program Director

After studying musicology, sociology, philosophy, multimedia and music informatics, Prof. Dr. Heiko Wandler worked at the University of Music Karlsruhe, where he received his doctorate on the influence of electroacoustic musical instruments and recording studio technology on the sound image and sound ideal of popular music. His research interests include the history and theory of popular music, sound synthesis, music production, acoustics as well as music and media technology.
