His trademark is his individual style of amazing technical skills, ostinato-oriented solo playing and stylistic range - the "balancing act between craft and music" always sounds like something more than "just" drumming.

In addition to a long-standing column for Drums & Percussion, he writes for Modern Drummer (USA), Drumscene (AUS) as well as Perkusista (PL), among others, and is on the starting line with Sabian's HH Garage Ride and a Signature Stock at Promark. He also endorsed Mapex Drums, Evans Drumheads, Gon Bops Percussion, Drummershoe and Ahead Armor Cases and is internationally on tour with his clinics and performances.

Especially his teaching skills are in high demand: Several ambitious drummers have already been coached by him - among them names like Anika Nilles, Patrick Metzger, Christoph Buhse, Chris Lesso, Stephane Chamberland and many more.
