Popakademie cooperates with KUBUZZ

"KULTUR BUSINESS ZUKUNFT - Support für Künstler:innen und Kulturschaffende" KUBUZZ is an advanced training and coaching program in Baden-Württemberg that supports freelance artists and cultural workers whose lives are centered in Baden-Württemberg with the challenges of self-employment.The program is cross-disciplinary, but focuses on the visual arts, performing arts, design/applied arts, film/media, music and spoken word. In free workshops, coaching sessions and e-learning, artists and cultural professionals can develop their skills, particularly in the areas of management, marketing and finance.For this purpose, new offers and formats are constantly being developed that are specifically tailored to the wishes and needs of the target group. These are also linked to the offerings of partner institutions, such as the Popakademie. In this context, the Pop Academy provides premises and supplies input in the field of music and creative industries. Suitable lecturers have already been found for workshops and coaching sessions.The head of the Music Business B.A. program, Prof. Dr. Alexander Endreß, offers coaching on the topic of "Social Security". The coaching is aimed at freelance musicians and music professionals. The possibility to request an appointment and further information is available here. Steffen Geldner (founder BERMVDA), worked for six years at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg as project manager for digital innovation and developed there, among other things, the curriculum with a digital focus. In addition to the Pop Academy Baden-Württemberg, the Stuttgart Media University, the Institute for Cultural Management of the Ludwigsburg University of Education, the Center for Cultural Participation Baden-Württemberg, the Kunstbüro of the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg, the Mannheim State University of Music and Performing Arts, and the Stuttgart State Academy of Fine Arts are cooperation partners of KUBUZZ.The goal is to strengthen the independence of those working in the arts and culture and to improve their social and financial situation. In addition, the project serves as a platform for networking and exchange between participants. The Institute for Cultural Management at the Ludwigsburg University of Education is leading the KUBUZZ project. The program takes place both digitally and on-site at various locations in Baden-Württemberg. All offerings are free of charge, as they are funded by the European Social Fund (ESF).
