Bandpool Application Period Begins
08. October 2026
The Popakademie Baden-Württemberg is looking for the 29th Bandpool cohort. Bandpool is the Popakademie’s premier support program, which operates outside the scope of its academic offerings. Bands, solo artists, and producers from all over Germany receive coaching and support. The goal is to prepare them for their entry into the professional music business. The new application period runs through November 22, 2026.
“Since 1998, the Bandpool has been an outstanding support program that has already shaped numerous careers. Over 150 acts have benefited from this support, and we are proud of our results: 70 major label deals, 86 chart placements, several gold certifications, multiple ECHO nominations, two ECHO Awards, nine Radio Regenbogen Awards, and numerous other prizes. Bands like Tusker, Marlo Grosshardt, ClockClock, Revolverheld, Max Giesinger, Lotte, and Provinz all got their start here,” says Michael Herberger, Managing Director of the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg.“The Popakademie’s Bandpool provides targeted support to artists in all relevant phases of their development. Visibility, expertise, and networking form the three pillars that transform creative talents into marketable artists. At the same time, close connections and friendships are forged here that extend far beyond the program — a network that strengthens one another. Those who go through the Bandpool enter the music industry with a clear vision and professional clout,” says Daniel Schmidt, Head of the Klinkt Music Agency, Bandpool, and Regionet. The project is free of charge for participants. The focus is on individual coaching and support measures, as well as building a functional business network. Together with industry experts, the Popakademie team works with the musicians for 18 months on key topics: from songwriting to interview training, and from music law to strategic planning.Apply by November 22, 2026, at: https://bandpool.de/bewirb-dich/ About the Bandpool: https://bandpool.de/
