Popakademie alumni win Mediagroup RTL as customer

18. August 2020

The Mannheim-based technology company Cyanite, owned by the three MCI graduates ((Music and Creative Industries) Jakob Höflich, Markus Schwarzer and Joshua Weikert, will in future enrich the in-house library for production music FAR MUSIC of mediagroup RTL GmbH with its innovative algorithms for music analysis and recommendation. The software, which works with Artificial Intelligence (AI), enables media professionals to find the right sound to go with the picture within a very short time.

Mediagroup RTL GmbH is Cyanite's largest customer to date, whose mission is to accompany music and media companies into the AI age. The program is already being used by SWR, NEUBAU Music and Meisel Music, among others.

"Being able to count such a large and renowned company as RTL / i2i Music among our customers marks a milestone for us. It shows, how more and more companies are turning to the new possibilities of artificial intelligence to optimize processes and take advantage of new business opportunities," says Markus Schwarzer, founder and co-director of Cyanite.

Cyanite has evolved from the start-up Groovecat, a social music app developed at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg in 2016.

Anyone wishing to find out more about Cyanite's technology can register for the web app free of charge and upload music or integrate Cyanite into an existing database system via a programming interface.
