Popakademie promotes talent with Germany and YouTube scholarships

03. July 2025

The Popakademie Baden-Württemberg is once again awarding the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship to 23 students this year. In addition, five students will receive the YouTube Futuremakers Career Funding scholarship. The scholarships were awarded as part of the Work in Progress Club on June 11th 2025.

The Deutschlandstipendium supports students with outstanding academic achievements for two semesters with a monthly payment of EUR 300 per person. Social commitment and the successful overcoming of obstacles in life and education are also taken into account. This is the 13th year that the Popakademie has awarded the scholarship. The funding comes from both the federal government and private sponsors. The Popakademie scholarships are awarded by the Wilhelm Müller Foundation, the Hans Thomann Foundation, the Henning Tögel Talent Foundation, YouTube and the Mannheim-Rosengarten Lions Club. This year, VR Bank Rhein-Neckar eG has also become a sponsoring partner for the first time.
The special thing about the Deutschlandstipendium is the close partnership between state support and civic engagement

The “YouTube Futuremakers Career Funding” scholarship supports students for creative and innovative artistic project ideas as well as for their outstanding achievements during their studies with a grant of EUR 3,000 each. The jury consisted of Kiki Ganzemüller (YouTube), Laura Noel (Vice President YouTube Global), Derek von Krogh (Artistic Director and Managing Director Popakademie), Julian Krohn (Director Music & Audio Scholz & Friends Sounds), Christoph Kregl (Founder/CEO redroad.management), Johannes Scholz (Managing Director IRRSINN Tonträger GmbH).
