PopakademieDigital takes a close look at topics relating to the digital music industry

Popakademie Digital publishes fourth Whitepaper

21. June 2019

The fourth edition of the PopakademieDigital whitepaper series was recently published. It is dedicated to the theme "The digitalized festival of the future: opportunities and prospects". Digital innovations, such as artificial intelligence or augmented and virtual reality, are becoming increasingly important for festival managers in order to compete successfully in Germany's booming festival market.

The four music business students Tobias Dammer, Jana Fuhrmann, Julian Göller and Florian Müller, in cooperation with their project manager Steffen Geldner, Project Manager Digital Innovation at the Popakademie, spent a semester dealing with the topic in the project workshop. They used existing use cases as well as interviews with experts, including Bernhard Reinert from Google Germany and Enrico Mina from Blockchain My Art. The paper focuses on topics such as the basic requirements for realizing innovations within production, the implementation of AR/VR technologies in the marketing process and at the festival, the use of language assistants, the chances of Blockchain and the relevance of Smart Data.

With PopakademieDigital, the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg publishes whitepapers on topics related to digital music marketing. Trends from the Internet and the digital music industry are to be presented in a simple, understandable and practical way. The series is carried out at SMIX.LAB (Social Music Innovation and Experience Lab), the digital competence centre of the Popakademie.

The download of the whitepaper is free of charge, but registration by e-mail is required.
