Popakademie focuses on complete digitalisation of the semester

02. April 2020

On Monday, 30 March 2020, the summer semester at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg started as planned. As planned, in times of coronavirus and social distancing means that - despite new general conditions - classes will take place on the scheduled dates.

In the implementation phase, the entire curriculum is now completely digital. Using streaming services and e-learning, students can attend lectures and seminars online and access learning materials.

"The Popakademie has acted quickly and proactively in these difficult times and has taken up the challenge in current teaching methods in online teaching. From the beginning of the summer semester, students of all courses of study will therefore be able to attend all lectures, seminars and small group and individual lessons, in this case from home. At the same time, we are also safeguarding our freelance lecturers, who will be able to cover part of their income from teaching at the Popakademie and continue to teach without any loss of income," explain the managing directors of the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg, Prof. Udo Dahmen (artistic director) and Prof. Hubert Wandjo (business director).
