Michael Herberger new Business Director and Managing Director

Michael Herberger is the new Business Director, Managing Director and Head of the Department of Music and Creative Industries at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg. He will succeed Prof. Hubert Wandjo as of 15 September 2022.Michael Herberger is a multi-gold and platinum award-winning music producer and composer. In addition to his numerous successes as a musician and producer, the three-time Echo Award winner is distinguished by his experience in management, labels and publishing, his extensive contacts in the music and TV industry and his social and cultural commitment. As head of department, Herberger will also be responsible for the degree programmes "Music Business B.A." and "Music and Creative Industries M.A." in the future. Michael Herberger comments:

Hubert Wandjo has done an outstanding job as Business Director and I am grateful to be able to continue and expand this now."Herberger's predecessor, Prof. Hubert Wandjo, was part of the management team since the foundation of the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg in 2003 and, as Business Director and Head of Department, made a significant contribution to the success of the university institution for music business, creative industries and popular music for almost 20 years. Prof. Udo Dahmen, remains Artistic Director and Managing Director of the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg for the time being and says of the selection committee's choice:
