International Songwriter Week

Every semester the Pop Academy Baden-Wuerttemberg presents an international songwriterweek in cooperation with EMI Music Publishing.

Teams, consisting of producing and songwriting students are coached by international top-class songwriters and write on current briefings coming fresh from the industry.
In the in-house studio high-quality demos arise from the ideas of the teams and in collaboration with instrumentalists from different years. At the end of the week, the results are presented and judged by the jury. The best titles will be forwarded directly to the department of “Verwertung” (realization) and furthermore they will be offered to the music industry.

The variety and quality of the results is convincing. Therefore the week is a wonderful tool for up and coming talent. The next international songwriterweek will take place in May 2010.
